The backyard now has proof across the day: a room dressed for parties, seated dinner service under the greenery, and party trays staged from the kitchen.
The smallest guests get their own board
First birthdays and family parties come with children, and the kitchen already carries the answer: a kids' menu that is short, cheap and actually eaten. Nuggets & Fries at $12.00 is six dino nuggets and french fries with a choice of our homemade sauces to dip. Kid's Pasta, which is a kid's mac and cheese, is $7.00. Plain french fries are $6.00 and orange juice is $5.00.
That matters at a party because the kids' plates and the grown-up trays come off the same pass at the same time, so nobody is negotiating with a hungry four year old while their own food goes cold.
Drinks for a party, without a drinks meeting
The wine list is deliberately short: Old York Wines, from New Jersey, by the half bottle and the full. Halves of the Old York Cabernet Sauvignon ($25.00) and the What Exit White ($21.00), the What Exit Red from $21.00, and full bottles of the Sparkling White ($40.00), the DMC Red ($33.00) and the Syrah ($41.00). One producer and six choices, which for a long table is a decision rather than a debate.
Daytime parties lean on the coffee bar instead: bottomless coffee at $5.00, plus the Teddy Graham and Bread Pudding iced lattes at $9.00 each, the two drinks on this menu that are basically dessert.

Timing an event around the kitchen
Two facts do more scheduling work than anything else on this page.
First, brunch runs to 4 PM Friday through Sunday, and to the 1 PM close Monday through Thursday. A late-morning weekend event does not have to choose between breakfast and lunch, because both are available at the same time, which is not true of most rooms in this town after two o'clock.
Second, the Whole Rotisserie Chicken Family Meal needs 45 minutes and only starts at noon. If it is going to be the centre of the table, that is the constraint the rest of the timing hangs off.

We are not going to invent a package price on a web page. Events differ by headcount, by room, by how long you have it and by what the kitchen is doing that day, and a number posted here would be a number we might have to walk back.
