Downtown Hoboken is the end of the Mile Square that does the most walking. Washington Street is the commercial spine, the numbered streets run east to west off it, and Hoboken Terminal sits at the southern tip.
From most of the downtown grid we are a walk rather than a trip. Willow Avenue is one block west of Washington, so the detour is measured in minutes.
The civic fixtures at this end of town all sit within a half mile straight line of our door: Church Square Park at 0.27 miles, the PATH entrance at 0.35, Hoboken Terminal at 0.38 and Pier A Park on the waterfront at 0.45. Those are measured distances from real coordinates, not walk times, and each one makes a usable meeting point before or after the table.
